OGDEN TRUST SKPT courses
We are delighted to announce that Amriss Assaye is an Ogden Trust Tutor, running Ogden Trust courses at St Clement Danes School.
Each module covers one core physics topic and requires up to 20 hours of learning. It is completed over approximately eight weeks, including two in-person sessions, webinars, independent learning and professional reflection. A school subsidy of up to £600 is available on completion of a module.

Develop a better understanding of finance from a whole school and department point of view. We will discuss how to prioritise what to spend money on. We will also look at the recruitment process, including discussions of how to maximise the chance of recruiting the best teachers.

Develop a better understanding of health and safety from a department point of view. We will discuss the responsibility of science teachers and science leaders. We will also discuss how to ensure risk assessments are useful and effective.

Develop a better understanding of how to lead change within a science department. This has been scheduled just before departmental gain time starts, meaning that we can discuss ways of supporting teachers with any development tasks. We will also discuss how to prioritise what needs to be done during the final term.

Develop a better understanding of STEM careers and how to embed them into the Science curriculum. We will discuss the Gatsby Benchmarks to ensure that your Science department is doing all it can to promote careers in STEM.
