New Science Leaders Network
New Science Leaders Network: FREE NETWORK MEETINGS
A network to support new Heads of Science to come together, learn and share ideas to promote the excellent teaching of science.
If you are new or in your first couple of years of leading science in your school why not join us and learn from experienced leads and talk through issues to find solutions with your peers. We will get together at half-termly meetings with experienced Heads of Science with space to develop and adapt according to the needs of the group.
The sessions will cover topics such as the difference between leadership and management, dealing with finance, strategies for monitoring and evaluation, assessment planning, running effective meetings, health and safety, writing a strategic action plan, how best to implement change, etc.
Every session will have a panel of expert ex Heads of Science or current Heads of Science who will be available to answer any questions as they arise through the year.
Remote - 16.00-17.00 - we recommend joining for all meetings if possible for continuity and community.
